Yankee Point Marina is happy to have been selected as the exclusive
distributor for The SeacurefillTM (SCF) fitting is installed near your fuel fill deck fitting. There are two connections within the body of the SCF fitting. One connects directly to your fuel vent through your existing vent line. The other has a quick disconnect device on the upper “well” portion of the SCF fitting that is accessible from the deck. The lower end of that quick disconnect is directly connected to your fuel tank. During operation of your boat the SCF fitting is closed and the gasket ensures an air tight seal. Fuel tank venting occurs normally. During fueling, the SCF fitting cap is removed and the quick disconnect fitting is connected to a short section of clear vinyl hose that permits you to observe what is coming out of the fuel tank vent. The bitter end of the hose can be run either directly back into your fuel fill pipe or into a separate fuel container. Once your tank approaches a filled state, you will see the fuel in the vinyl hose and know to stop filling. Even if the tank tops off unexpectedly, any overflow simply goes back into your tank or into the fuel container. Simple, and you don’t have to stretch to observe the overflow vent! How often do you experience a “little” fuel spilling into the water when you fuel you boat? The answer for most of us is “just about any time I refuel”! The SeacurefillTM is a fully patented design that eliminates that potential. This simple yet effective fitting will eliminate those minor spills that are an aggravation and prevent those major ones that can bring on significant fines. It won’t be long before there will be regulations restricting not only liquid fuel emissions during fueling but also gaseous emissions as well. SeacurefillTM is ready to eliminate both*. Take a look at the back of this brochure to see just how SeacurefillTM works and see just how simple it is. SeacurefillTM Comes in two sizes. Both are economically priced: Two sizes of the SCF are available based on the needs of your vessel and the size of your fuel fill pipe. The SCF 1.5 includes the chromed deck fitting itself plus a quick disconnect fitting and 30 inches of 5/8” clear hose retails for $139.00. This unit is ideal for boats with a standard 1.5” fuel fill pipe. The SCF 2.0 includes the chromed deck fitting itself plus a quick disconnect and 30 inches of 3/4” clear hose. This fitting is compatible with the higher venting needs of high speed fueling systems. The SCF 2.0 retails for $179.00. The environmental benefits are immeasurable! This is a simple step that you can take to help the environment which you routinely enjoy with your boat. If each of us takes this simple, relatively painless step, we can collectively make a huge positive impact directly on the environment around us. Think about the sheen you occasionally see on the waters of your area, most of those are caused by inadvertent discharges of fuel during a casual refueling process. Now think about what the impacts of 365 days a year of those minor spills must be on the ecology of the body of water that you use on a regular basis. Let’s clean up our act. SeacurefillTM can help! It is only a matter of time until all marine refueling facilities will be required to provide a “capture” system to prevent fuel fumes from escaping into the atmosphere during refueling. Seacurefill, Inc. has this technology and the SCF is 100% compatible. The method will be as simple and elegant as the SCF is itself. Each refueling facility will have a vacuum device (similar to a quick oil changer) that will attach to the fuel vent system by way of the quick disconnect fitting in the SCF. As refueling occurs, the fumes (and any liquid overflow) are captured in the vacuum device.
