Yankee Point is located on Myer Creek just off the Corrotoman River on the Northern Neck of Virginia. Conveniently located only 12 miles from the mouth of the Rappahannock River, 1.5 hours drive time from Hampton Roads, Williamsburg, Richmond and 3 hours from Washington DC and Annapolis, This is superb cruising grounds for sail or power with protected, deep waters only a mile from the docks. Beautiful scenery, coupled with a laid back life style make the area almost heaven. Our marina is a world renowned Chesapeake Bay attraction - we have boats from Africa, Germany, the UK, Australia and points in between! About 50% of our slip holders come from the Washington DC, Richmond, Fredericksburg and Hampton Roads areas to find the ideal recreation destination with a relaxed casual atmosphere. It's a great place to "get away from it all" and get back to what you have really been looking for.
Yankee Point Marina is a "must visit" and a hard place to leave! We pride ourselves on our warm friendly atmosphere, superior service and attention to our customers’ needs. We have 103 wet slips capable of between 20 and 50 foot yachts. Our prices for both storage, fuel and our full service yards are fair and modest in relation to the “big cities” that surround us. We regularly store over 225 boats for winter dry storage. Our current percentage of power to sail is about 40% power to 60% sail as we have become a prime destination for trawlers and fishermen alike.
Our facility offers a ship's chandlery with an ABC Off license for beer and wine, excellent repair yard, Yacht Brokerage and our new “Windows on the Water” clubhouse that is open to all for simple but excellent dining and refreshments. Check out "Chesapeake Bay Magazine" and you'll see we are consistently rated "Best in the Bay" in both the marina and yard categories by the readership polls! Our pool side cafe' (with ABC license for beer and wine on-premises), laundry and handicapped rest rooms are great draws for ultimate relaxation! Come on in by boat, by car or by foot and enjoy! The salt water swimming pool is open to all at a very economical family rate too.
It is worthy of note also that slip holders enjoy many special benefits. First of all they are automatically given full pool privileges which include the slip holder and his/her family. Second, they automatically receive priority on the Hurricane Haul Out list so their boat will be hauled prior to any boat that is not a registered slip holder. Next they have the ability to make reservations at “Windows on the Water” our clubhouse that is open to the public. The public won’t be able to make reservations. Slip holders will also have 24/7 access to theWOW Lounge when the WOW is not open, complete with satellite big screen TV and mini-kitchen with a stove top, microwave, sink and coffee machine.
