Todd Patterson was born and raised on the waters around Cape Cod. His early love of sailing drew him to compete on various sailing teams in New England. After earning his BA from Hobart College, Todd returned to the water where he has since made his career.

Todd has captained and crewed aboard a variety of sailing and motor yachts. He started as crew aboard tuna fishing boats out of Cape Cod, before moving onto larger sport fishing boats and motor yachts up to 155’. His time aboard these yachts has taken him throughout Central America, the Caribbean, Bahamas and the Eastern Seaboard. He returned to sailing in 2008 as captain of a 57’ Abeking and Rasmussen ketch, ultimately based out of the British Virgin Islands.

In 2013 he purchased B+G Yacht Management which he grew into the leading yacht management and marine services company in the British Virgin Islands. Through that company, he delivered numerous vessels for his clients throughout the Caribbean and to and from New England.

He has extensive knowledge of boats and their systems, including exposure to most major manufacturers, such as Hylas, Island Packet, Oyster, Swan, Beneteau, Jeanneau, Robertson & Caine, Bali, Catana, Lagoon, Fontaine Pajot, Sun Reef, Nordhavn, Hatteras, Viking, Pursuit, Midnight Express, Regulator, Axopar, and many others. This gives him a diverse and experienced foundation to help guide buyers and sellers through the process.

Todd has been a USCG licensed mariner since 2003 and holds additional credentials as an ABYC Certified Electrician and a NMEA Certified Electronics Installer.

In addition to his Caribbean-based yacht management company, Todd purchased Yankee Point Marina in 2022. He now lives in Lancaster, Virginia, with his wife and two sons.
